Kamatoaq is the name of one of the clans and this is the cerimonial site for whaling
festival held each June (if a whale has been received). The archway of jaw bones on
the left side, the smallest set in the middle of the arch is from a 30 foot whale, the next
size is from a 50 foot whale, Those jumbo arches, are perhaps from something as large
as 100 foot or more. A Bowhead whale weighs an astonishing TON per foot.
